about

This song is one that I finished writing while I was there that evening. I had the lyrics, and an idea of what I wanted to do. But most of it came together as we just started to record it. It STILL remains one of my favorite songs that I've written. A new version of it will be recorded for my upcoming full length.

lyrics

Save me from what I've become,
It seems I always have to run,
Pull this mask down,
Hide my eyes,
Silenced no one hears these cries,

Been looking for some peace of mind,
But sorrow is all I seem to find,
Been walking down this path alone,
I chose this future on my own,

But deep inside I feel a change,
The suns come out to clear the rain,
I rid myself of hate and pain,
To walk this earth in peace again,

But I felt alone,
I felt so scared,
It seemed to me that no one cared,
But I took a look inside myself,
And realized there was someone else,

A man who is proud to stand up tall,
Take on the world,
Give it his all,
Take off the mask,
To my surprise,
I saw this world with brand new eyes

With brand new eyes,
With brand new eyes,
With brand new eyes
Whoaaaa Oohwoah
With brand new eyes
Whoaaaa Oohwoah
With brand new eyes,
WITH BRAND NEW EYEEEEESS!

about

Jason Franklin Denver, Colorado

I first started writing/playing music in 2001. I've always continued to write music from my heart and pour it into any project I'm in. I want you to take something with you when you hear my music. That could be a lyric, maybe an emotion it made you feel. As long as you feel something, anything, then I've done my job. ... more
