1st demo recording of 'I Will Prevail'. A favorite song of mine for many reasons. This is the song that gave me courage to really start writing music. I realized the emotion that I could get out through writing, but also convey through playing. I also love the lyrics and meaning of the song. This is the only version of the song that features screaming, something that has entirely been taken out of the song. Yet I still love the raw energy that the screams capture in this version. A new version will be recorded for my upcoming full length.
lyrics
Tattered torn this ship still sails,
Drifting off towards the unknown,
In this Darkest Hour waves rage high,
And fire rains down from the sky,
But I, I will prevail,
The strongest storm won't keep me down,
This ship will always sail,
And I, I cannot fail,
I've always had my dreams in sight,
Just got to make it through tonight,
And as time passes by,
I find myself still lost at sea,
Floating off towards nothing now,
Seems the way it's meant to be,
But I, I will prevail,
The strongest storm won't keep me down,
This ship will always sail,
And I, I cannot fail,
I've always had my dreams in sight,
Just got to make it through tonight,
Trying not to lose hope,
Accept my destiny,
I might just sail forever now,
Into eternity,
But I, I did prevail,
The strongest storm won't keep me down,
This ship will always sail,
And I, I have not failed,
I've always had my dreams in sight,
Now lay these eyes to rest tonight

I first started writing/playing music in 2001. I've always continued to write music from my heart and pour it into any
project I'm in. I want you to take something with you when you hear my music. That could be a lyric, maybe an emotion it made you feel. As long as you feel something, anything, then I've done my job....more
